MENTOR AND MUSE: ESSAYS FROM POETS TO POETSAn online anthology of essays that considers the elements of poetry through practice. The essays reveal the insights poets gained while writing or reading a particular poem or set of poems. Each essay ends with a prompt that challenges readers to consider their own understanding of that poetic element. Each essay submission should consider how a poem—yours and/or someone else’s—has helped you to better understand a specific poetic principle. We encourage potential contributors to begin where they are most compelled, with the poems that act as touchstones, poems that they return to again and again for inspiration, solace, and guidance. For the full description of the project, submissions guidelines, deadlines, and other information, please visit the Call for Submissions post on our Facebook page.
