Empowering Young Writers Day

What:  A free event for budding new authors to experience a professional workshop on the craft of creative writing from a best-selling and award-winning author, Todd Fahnestock. 

A light meal will be provided after the workshop along with an open mic opportunity, open for all to listen, where students can share their work.

The evening wraps up with a talk from Todd, open to the public of all ages. Because no matter who you are or what your age, the time to write is now!

Who:  Young writers grades 5-12, and college freshmen. Curated for ages 12-20.

When:  June 4th, 2026.

2:30 - 4:45 pm, Professional Writing Craft Workshop followed by light meal

5:00 - 6:00 pm, Open Mic (open for all to listen)

6:30 - 8:30 - Keynote Address (open to the public) by Todd Fahnestock - "You Are Ready, the Time to Write is Now!"

Todd Fahnestock
